REMOVAL
VACUUM SYSTEM MANIFOLD KIT ASSEMBLY
1.
Unscrew locknut (Figure 1, Item 16) on 2 inch inlet valve (Figure 1, Item 15) until locknut (Figure 1, Item 16)
pulls away from shelf cabinet (A) (Figure 1, Item 17) wall.
2.
Remove 2 inch inlet valve (Figure 1, Item 15) from elbow (Figure 1, Item 11).
3.
Remove three screws (Figure 1, Item 4) and three nuts (Figure 1, Item 5) from three bottom load clamping
hangers (Figure 1, Item 2).
4.
Remove entire vacuum system manifold kit assembly (Figure 1) from three bottom load clamping hangers
(Figure 1, Item 2).
5.
Remove three bolts Figure 1, Item 8), three lock washers (Figure 1, Item 7), and three lat washers (Figure 1,
Item 6) detaching three bottom load clamping hangers (Figure 1, Item 2) from shelter ceiling.
INSTALLATION
VACUUM SYSTEM MANIFOLD KIT ASSEMBLY
NOTE
Assemble entire vacuum system manifold kit assembly before heating shrink sleeve.
1.
Increase holes in three bottom load clamping hangers (Figure 1, Item 2) to accept 3/8 inch hardware.
2.
Install three bottom load clamping hangers (Figure 1, Item 2) to ceiling insert with three bolts (Figure 1, Item
8), three lock washers (Figure 1, Item 7), and three lat washers (Figure 1, Item 6) so that openings face
personnel and cargo end walls.
3.
Install locknut (Figure 1, Item 16) onto 2 inch inlet valve (Figure 1, Item 15).
4.
Insert 2 inch inlet valve (Figure 1, Item 15) with locknut (Figure 1, Item 16) inside of shelf cabinet (A) cutout
hole (Figure 1, Item 14) on right side and attach elbow (Figure 1, Item 11).
5.
Tighten elbow (Figure 1, Item 11) to 2 inch inlet valve (Figure 1, Item 15) so that elbow (Figure 1, Item 11) is
rotated 90 degrees upward to shelf cabinet (A) (Figure 1, Item 17) and 2 inch inlet valve (Figure 1, Item 15)
opens upward.
6.
Secure using locknut (Figure 1, Item 16) installed over 2 inch inlet valve (Figure 1, Item 15).
7.
Install 13 inch galvanized tubing (Figure 1, Item 20) into open end of elbow (Figure 1, Item 11).
8.
Slide heat shrink (Figure 1, Item 13) over 13 inch galvanized tubing (Figure 1, Item 20) and elbow (Figure 1,
Item 11) joint.
9.
Slide heat shrink (Figure 1, Item 13) over 13 inch galvanized tubing (Figure 1, Item 20).
10. Install non-threaded opening of adapter tee (Figure 1, Item 9) to 13 inch galvanized tubing (Figure 1, Item 20)
so that threaded opening of adapter tee (Figure 1, Item 9) faces hinged side wall.
11. Slide installed heat shrink (Figure 1, Item 13) over 13 inch galvanized tubing (Figure 1, Item 20) and adapter
tee (Figure 1, Item 9).
12. Wrap threads of 1.5 inch inlet valve (Figure 1, Item 12) with thread tape.
13. Install 1.5 inch inlet valve (Figure 1, Item 12) to adapter tee (Figure 1, Item 9) so that lap opens upward.
14. Install 45 elbow tubing (Figure 1, Item 18) into adapter tee (Figure 1, Item 9) so that opening faces hinged
side wall.
15. Slide heat shrink (Figure 1, Item 13) over 45 elbow tubing (Figure 1, Item 18) and adapter tee (Figure 1, Item
9) joint.
16. Slide slip coupling (Figure 1, Item 19) over 45 elbow tubing (Figure 1, Item 18).
